One of our Lead Software Engineers, Gheorghe, agreed to join us in this project and share a glimpse of his journey with Randstad Digital. Read the interview below to discover more about our colleague, and what motivates him most in his activity.
please share with us about your experience, technologies, and areas of expertise.
My experience with the company started with a software development role in the mobile/GSM area. Since then, I have gained experience on various projects on SW development/ SW debugging and SW testing.
The technologies I have used so far have been embedded C, Python, Bash, SQL, and some Java.
how long have you been on our team? did/ do you have a mentor/ colleague who supported your growth?
This month marks my 14th year with the company. In the beginning, I was guided by Alin D. through the project's ins and outs.
what challenges did you face in your project and how did you solve them?
The project I am currently working on started with several challenges. There were communication problems with the people from whom the project was taken, challenges with the lack of information about the work we were starting, and incomplete procedures.
Some of the challenges were overcome by clearly communicating the problems and insisting on certain topics until we were in a position to be able to get the work done reasonably.
what are some of the achievements or contributions that you are most proud of in your project or team?
We managed to implement a simple and clear workflow in the team so that we could continue the work of another colleague in case of need.
On the analysis side, we work frequently on improving the team's skills to achieve the best results in our activity.
what motivates you to keep going and growing?
The continuous improvement of my skills motivates me most in the project activities. You never know when the new things you learn will help.
we also want to discover what hobbies tech experts have. what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Although I only get to practice now and then, photography and cycling are on my list of hobbies.
